Bids will be received at the Sussex County Administration Office located at 20135 Princeton Road, Sussex, VA, 23884 before 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019. The engineer and owner will evaluate the bids and award the project to the lowest responsible bidder. Any pre-bid questions will be answered by the Engineer prior to Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
The principle work to be performed under this contract consists of the construction of a 23’ x 37.5’ concrete slab overlay, demolition/removal of abandoned waste tank, demolition of concrete slab, grading to drain, and installation of a prefabricated 22’x36’ pre-engineered metal carport behind the existing Sussex County, VA Animal Shelter Facility as shown in the attached plans.
The OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in bids received and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract where it appears to be in the best interest of the Owner.
Bidders must be properly licensed as a Contractor in the State of Virginia. Bidder’s Contractor’s license number must be on the outside of the bid package.
