On June 18, 2020 the Sussex County Board of Supervisors approved $100,000 - $150,000 of CARES funding to the Sussex County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) for the COVID-19 Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program. On April 11, 2020 the Sussex County Sheriff's Office took a report of a stolen tailgate from Owen Ford in Jarratt, Virginia. The suspect took the tailgate at approximately 12:29 a.m. that morning from a truck on the sales lot next to Route 301.
