2022 Richmond-Crater Hazard Mitigation Plan Adopted
The Sussex County Board of Supervisors considered and adopted the updated 2022 Richmond-Crater Hazard Mitigation Plan on August 18, 2022. Upon adoption by all participating jurisdictions, the plan will become the official plan for the region.

The Sussex County Board of Supervisors adopted the updated 2022 Richmond-Crater Hazard Mitigation Plan on Thursday, August 18, 2022. 

The plan consists of hazard mitigation actions to reduce the potential for harm to people and property from future hazard occurrences and satisfies a condition to receive future funding for mitigation projects under multiple FEMA pre- and post-disaster mitigation grant programs.

A copy of the Richmond-Crater Hazard Mitigation Plan and other supporting documentation are available for review below.  A copy is also available for view in the Planning Department located at 20135 Princeton Road, Sussex, Virginia, during regular business hours Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Phone number (434) 246-1043.
