The County of Sussex, Virginia is in need of consulting management services relative to the implementation of two (2) major redevelopment projects, the Pocahontas Neighborhood Community Improvement Project and the Waverly Tornado Recovery Urgent Needs Project. These projects are being financed with Virginia Community Development Block Grant funds. Other funding sources may include the Sussex Service Authority, the Virginia Department of Transportation, the Town of Wakefield Electric/Prince George Electric Co-Op and Sussex County.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Section 58.1-3210, Code of Virginia (1950, as amended), that the Sussex County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sussex Elementary School Gymnasium located at 21392 Sussex Drive, Stony Creek, Virginia 23882 for the purpose of receiving comments on whether the Board should adopt an ordinance to exempt from taxation real estate and manufactured homes owned by qualifying elderly and permanently and totally disabled persons.
