HURRICANE SANDY Emergency Announcement
PRESS RELEASE

This is an Emergency announcement from the Sussex County Emergency Management Office to inform residents that County Officials continue to monitor the track of Hurricane Sandy. This powerful storm continues to track northward over the next few days and is expected to take a westward turn on early Monday morning.

The Emergency Management Office will monitor the storm until it moves out of the area. We ask that you report any power outages to our Emergency Management Office at (804) 834-2424 or (804) 691-2582 (Eddie Vick) or (804) 731-1501 (Mr. Thomas Harris).

The County has not opened any emergency shelters yet and, it will be based on conditions in the County. The County EOC will likely open later this evening to monitor conditions and collect emergency situation reports.
