The County of Sussex will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 6:00PM in the General District Courtroom, Sussex Judicial Center, 15098 Courthouse Road, Sussex Judicial Center, Sussex, Virginia to solicit input on utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds provided by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for assisting Superb Solutions for You, Inc. with constructing and equipping an industrial facility in the Town of Waverly on the site of the former Evans Lumber Company. Residents of the immediate neighborhood and other interested residents of the Town of Waverly and Sussex County are encouraged to attend. A fact sheet about the project that outlines project activities and the required creation of jobs available to persons of low- to moderate-income will be available at the hearing. In addition to commenting on the Superb Solutions project, citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on Sussex County’s past use of CDBG funds.
